Yoruba lingo rapper and producer, Olusegun Osaniyi, aka Lord of Ajasa has stated that he and Olamide have come a long way in the industry and dismissed insinuations that the young rapper quieted him in the industry.
Recall that some years ago, Lord of Ajasa was virtually the only Nigerian rapper using his local dialect to do rap. For those who may not know, Olamide and Lord of Ajasa have both passed through Coded Tunes, managed by ID Cabasa, which also once boasted of 9ice, Reminisce, 2Phat and others.
In an exclusive chat with Nigezie, Lord of Ajasa explained that Olamide is his son in the industry. He further stated that he produced Olamide’s first ever song.
“You don’t know the story of Olamide and I, it has been a long story I won’t lie to you, Olamide is my son, “Omo mi lo je,” he said.
On whether Olamide’s success chased him out of the industry, the rapper said, “I did not leave industry for anybody; e me ni ten basoro ni? You are talking to Lord of Ajasa, I cannot leave industry because of anyone, it’s not possible.”
Commenting on why he has been silent for a long time, Lord of Ajasa explained that, “I have other things I am doing u know has a family man, I cannot be doing music alone all the time, I need to do other businesses.”
