Fernando Torres has defended Jose Mourinho by insisting that it was his own decision to leave the blues
The Spanish striker signed for Italian club AC Milan in the summer
on a two year loan deal and has since told the media that it was
entirely his decision to make the witch across Europe.Chelsea's record signing has also said that he and Jose Mourinho keep in regular contact.
Mourinho has always been good to me. The decision to leave was a personal one because I needed more. I needed to feel important."
"Mourinho and I have a good relationship and still today we continue to talk to each other."
Torres was linked with a move to his former club Atletico Madrid after Chelsea agreed a deal to sign Diego Costa as well as signing Loic Remy and Didier Drogba.
Torres commented on the rumour and said: "There wasn't a real option to return. They speculated with it and I didn't like that. I've said it many times, I won't go to Atletico to retire. I will go if I have motivation to compete because the Atletico of today is very different than when I was there. I follow them every weekend. If (returning) is an option that isn't real."

Chris Brown has agreed a payment to Parker Adams - who he recently
pleaded guilty to assaulting last October – after Adams filed a case
against him, according to TMZ.
And that isn’t the only legal matter the 25-year-old star has settled.
In January, Chris got into a fight at a West Hollywood recording studio
with Frank Ocean‘s entourage and was subsequently sued for $3 million by
his rival’s cousin.
However, sources told TMZ the case has now been resolved after the
‘Beautiful People’ singer agreed to pay out just under $20,000.
Thought he pleaded guilty to assaulting Parker in court in Washington
last month, Chris managed to avoid jail as the terms of his plea deal
meant he was sentenced to time already served.
The singer was released from jail on June 2 after spending 108 days
behind bars for violating his probation after he allegedly made threats
about using guns while seeking anger-management treatment in rehab....
